How Does It Work?

Your body contains a natural system called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is made up of a web of receptors, enzymes and biochemical pathways called ‘endocannabinoids’ which are neurotransmitters (or chemical messengers) which send signals to different parts of your body. These endocannabinoids regulate a wide range of your body's key functions including mood, energy, inflammation, pain, recovery, appetite and stress response, to name a few!

However, in order for the endocannabinoids to be of use and tell your body where to direct its efforts, they need to bind with the Cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system - and that’s where CBD comes in. CBD stimulates these receptors and allows your body to produce and retain its own endocannabinoids.
